Crank Sensor:
A crank sensor in an automobile is an electronic device, which is in an internal combustion engine, to examine the spot or rotational speed of the crankshaft.
This data is used by engine management systems to control the fuel injection or the ignition system timing and other engine parameters.
Fact: Mitsubishi, an automotive manufacturer is the first who used this sensor in automotive.

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor:
The coolant temperature sensor is used to calculate the temperature of the engine coolant of an internal combustion engine.
The readings of it are then transmitted to the Engine control unit (ECU), which uses the data to regulate the fuel injection and ignition timing.
Fact: Different car manufacturers around the globe install the coolant temperature sensor in different ways.

Parking Sensor:
Parking sensors are designed for road vehicles to aware of the driver regarding the obstacles while parking. Different systems use either electromagnetic or ultrasonic sensors and are called by various names by diverse names called Park Distance Control, Park Assist, etc.
There are even reverse car sensors available in the market. They’re very easy for installation and do not require regular maintenance.
Fact: The electromagnetic parking sensor was re-invented and patented in the year 1992 by Mauro Del Signore.

Torque Sensors:
A torque sensor also referred to as torque transducer or torque meter is a device used for measuring and recording the torque on a rotating system like engine, crankshaft, gearbox, transmission, rotor, etc.
It is a must in the automobiles and measuring it is not always easy or convenient.
Fact: One of the early use of torque measurements happened in the year 1918 when Conrad Bahr invented the first torque wrench whilst working at the New York City Water Department.
- Manifold Air Pressure Sensor:
The manifold air pressure sensor notifies the engine control module on how much power the engine is putting out. In short called MAP, it is employed in an internal combustion engine’s electronic control system.
Fact: Engines that utilize a Manifold Air Pressure sensor are in general fuel injected.
